Menopause Consultation Package

The Menopause Consultation Package is ideal for women seeking guidance and support with managing menopausal symptoms, particularly those considering Hormone Replacement Therapy (HRT). This package includes:

Consultation with a Specialist Gynaecologist: A one-on-one discussion with a menopause specialist to explore symptoms, health history, and treatment options.
Symptom Assessment: A detailed review of menopausal symptoms, their impact on daily life, and any related concerns.
HRT Prescription: If deemed appropriate and safe, a tailored prescription for HRT will be provided, considering your individual health needs and preferences. You can either collect this as a private prescription, which will be chargeable at the pharmacy, or you can take the prescription to your own GP to see if they will be willing to prescribe the recommended medication for you.

Follow up

This package also includes one follow up appointment after four months to review the results of the treatment plan. This will include:

Assessment of Treatment Outcomes: Evaluate the effectiveness of the initial treatment approach, including symptom relief and overall health improvements.
Address Side Effects or Complications: Provide support and solutions for any side effects or complications that may arise during treatment.

This consultation package focuses on providing fast symptom relief and a clear understanding of treatment options. It is a straightforward and efficient way to begin managing menopause with professional support.

After each appointment, you will be sent a report of our findings along with any suggestions on how to optimise your health going forward. A copy of this will be sent to your GP, with your consent, so they can also have a copy of our findings.

Dr Iain Martin (GMC 7277328), MRCOG and a Specialist Registered Consultant Gynaecologist, leads our gynaecology services at McKeown Medical. A pioneer in ambulatory gynaecology in Scotland, Dr Martin collaborated with the McKeown Medical team to establish Scotland’s first private ambulatory gynaecology service.
