Dr Rhona Cameron (MB ChB Glasgow, 2004) is a registered GP who has been on the GMC’s GP Register since 2012. A GP by background, Rhona’s talent lies in her investigative nature and her ability to pinpoint what her patients want from treatment, whether it’s to restore a radiant complexion, reduce pigmentation, or tangibly tighten the skin on their face and body.
Rhona qualified from the University of Glasgow in 2004, the same medical school as Dr Darren McKeown, and completed her post-graduate training to become a GP before going on to become a partner in a Glasgow general practice. As she began to notice the early signs of ageing on her own skin, her interest shifted toward aesthetic medicine. That curiosity led her back to Dr McKeown, and after a 12-month training and mentoring period, she joined McKeown Medical full time in 2019.
Rhona is passionate about technology and has an advanced understanding of optimising the skin through powerful, energy-based devices, such as lasers, BBL and radio frequency.
A flair for aesthetics, combined with her warm disposition, not only puts patients back in control of their appearance but also enhances their self-esteem every time they look in the mirror.
Dr Rhona Cameron holds an MB ChB from the University of Glasgow (2004) and is registered with the General Medical Council (GMC No. 6103281) with a licence to practise. She has been on the GMC’s GP Register since April 2012, bringing over a decade of specialist GP qualification to her aesthetic practice. At McKeown Medical, Rhona leads the clinic’s laser team and is fully trained in Dr Darren McKeown’s signature intuitive injectable technique.
