AWARD WINNING LIP INJECTIONS IN GLASGOW

We offer award-winning lip filler treatments from our cosmetic clinic in Glasgow

Full, sensuous lips are perceived as a sign of youth and beauty.

But, as we age the lips lose their natural volume and the mouth area begins to look tired and older. Lip injections can help reverse these signs of ageing by enhancing the lips and creating a fuller and more youthful shape to the mouth.

Unfortunately, many women are scared of having lip injections because they see so many bad examples of people who have had bad lip fillers. A lip filler treatment is meant to add just the right amount of volume to the lips so as to subtly enhance the face. Too much volume and you get the “trout pout”.

Poor results are almost exclusively the result of poor injection techniques. Done well, the results of a lip augmentation treatment should look subtle and natural. No one should be able to spot that you have had a lip enhancement procedure done.

That’s where our more than 10 years of experience in lip fillers is key.

FOR THE BEST RESULTS - EXPERIENCE IS KEY

Lips are one of the most technically challenging areas of the face to inject dermal fillers into and get right. Just the right amount of the right product has to be injected into a very precise tissue plane to create a look that is natural and harmonious.

The challenge is that the result needs to look good not only when the face is at rest, but when the face is moving too. It takes a lot of experience to be able to get this balance just right.

Dr Darren McKeown is one of the most experienced lip filler practitioners in the United Kingdom. Administering thousands of lip fillers in Glasgow every year, his team is highly experienced and trained in techniques that give you effective, natural-looking results.

Our lip filler treatment has even won awards.

    WHAT TO EXPECT

When it comes to fillers, lip treatments are extremely popular because they are so easy and safe. Our lip filler treatment is safe and done by professional cosmetic practitioners who are highly trained in the art of injecting fillers into the lips.

The lips are, however, the most sensitive area of the face to inject and typically swell up more than any other part of the face, so it is best to schedule your lip filler appointment when you have a few days with not much on. This procedure is ideal to have on a Friday so that most of the swelling will have settled by the Monday.

Most of the swelling will go down in a couple of days, although it can take up to a fortnight for everything to completely settle into place.

    LIP FILLER FAQ

Before & After: Following Lip Filler (Non-surgical Enhancement).

    What are Lip Fillers Exactly?

Injectables for lips are a popular non-surgical treatment for restoring volume and shape to the lips because they are safe and, when done properly, offer natural-looking results. A lip filler treatment is a great way to add volume to the lips and mouth area and enhance the overall appearance of the face without having to go under the knife.

Lip fillers are typically made up of hyaluronic acid, a sugar molecule that occurs naturally in the skin. When hyaluronic acid is injected into the lips it helps water bind with collagen, which traps it in the skin and adds volume, giving the lips a fuller appearance.

    How Long Do Injections Last?

Hyaluronic acid fillers such as Juvederm are quick to administer and the results can last up to 12 months when injected properly, making them the ideal fillers for lips. However, one of the biggest mistakes people make with lip fillers is to underestimate how long it lasts.

People get used to the way the filler looks, forget what they looked like before, think the volume is gone and then want to go back for more. This leads to a build-up of product in the lip and gradual overcorrection. Don’t fall victim to this.

For most people, lip fillers should last for months, so they should be a once per year cosmetic treatment.

What Are The Benefits of Lip Fillers?

Although lip fillers are synonymous with adding volume to the lips, other benefits include:

    • Evens out asymmetrical lips

    • Adds natural-looking fullness

    • Reduces the appearance of fine lines on the lips and surrounding mouth area

    • Is customisable based on your expectations

    • Offers temporary results

    • Lip plumping injectables are a popular enhancement treatment for lips because they are quick and easy, but also because they are temporary. Dermal fillers for lips can last up to 12 months.

    • You won’t need to stay overnight in a clinic to get the best possible results when using lip injections. Simply nip into our clinic during lunch and have your lip filler treatment done in as little as 30 minutes. You will be on your way to fuller lips before your lunch break ends.
