What if you don’t want a deep plane facelift?

This is the results of one of our patients who felt that the deep plane facelift was too invasive for her, so she chose a classic SMAS facelift with the wonderful @bramhallplasticsurgery.

Until a few years ago, the SMAS facelift was considered the gold standard. Now the deep plane has taken over, but there are some patients who feel uncomfortable with the length of time required in surgery for a deep plane technique and the idea of operating in the deeper tissues of the face doesn’t appeal to them.

The SMAS facelift typically takes around half the time in to perform. It means that there is less dramatic change, especially in the neck, but for some patients that’s the right choice for them.

This patient is 2 months post-op. She’s also had a little volume restoration using HA and she’s over the moon with the results.

Here she is again! This is Lorraine now 4 months after her quantum lift. We posted her results a little bit earlier on but we wanted to post again because as the months are passing by you can see the results improve and the definition get even better.

Thank you to this lovely 67 year old patient who has allowed us to share the early results of her deep plane face and neck lift.

She’s just three weeks post her procedure which she had under local anaesthetic and sedation with the ever-talented @bramhallplasticsurgery here in the clinic, and while she’s still a little swollen around the jawline (where swelling tends to hang around the longest), we think she’s looking absolutely fabulous already.
