Inner Thighs

Inner Thigh treatment can help to reduce unwanted fat, therefore creating a more streamlined appearance, and this is especially popular with slim patients who are looking to eliminate bothersome bulges. However, it also has a functional benefit, and by lessening the fatty deposits on the inside seam of the leg, we can reduce discomfort caused when the inner thighs rub together, perhaps when walking or exercising. Above all, it is important to assess the patient’s individual needs and tailor the treatment plan accordingly. Doing so results in the most satisfactory outcome, and a happier patient overall.

What can help?

At McKeown Medical, we combine UAL, PAL and Quantum RF to create smoother, slimmer, more elegant inner thigh contours.

Ultrasound Assisted Liposuction (UAL)

UAL uses ultrasound energy to emulsify and soften fat before removal. Benefits include more precise fat reduction, less trauma to surrounding tissues, smoother contouring and improved treatment of fibrous fatty tissue.

Patients searching online for advanced ultrasound liposuction are often familiar with VASER liposuction. At McKeown Medical, we use next generation UAL technology as part of our modern body contouring approach.

Power Assisted Liposuction (PAL)

PAL uses a specialised vibrating cannula to improve precision during fat extraction. This allows for smoother contouring, more refined sculpting, reduced tissue trauma and greater precision in delicate areas such as the inner thighs.

Quantum RF Skin Tightening

One of the major limitations of traditional thigh liposuction is residual loose skin. Quantum RF helps tighten the overlying tissue by contracting collagen fibres, stimulating collagen remodelling and improving skin firmness and retraction. This is particularly important in the inner thigh area, where skin laxity is extremely common.

Other Options

Sofwave®

Where skin laxity is mild and there is little excess fat to address, Sofwave® offers a non-surgical route. It works within the dermis to stimulate collagen while preserving the deeper tissues and fat layers, improving early laxity, crepiness and overall skin firmness with no surgery, no incisions and minimal downtime.

Sculptra®

Inner thigh skin is thin and tends to show crepiness early, often in patients who have little fat left to remove. Sculptra® is injected to build the skin’s own collagen over a course of sessions, improving thickness and firmness from within. The change appears gradually across several months rather than immediately.

Common Questions

What are the benefits?

Combining UAL, PAL and Quantum RF addresses both excess fat and loose skin in a single procedure. Fat is reduced precisely, contours are refined and the overlying skin is tightened, which matters here because inner thigh laxity is common. Many patients also find thigh rubbing eases.

Which anaesthetic is used?

Inner thigh liposuction is performed under IV sedation delivered by a consultant anaesthetist, allowing you to sleep comfortably throughout while being monitored in our fully regulated clinical environment. Sofwave® and Sculptra® are non-surgical and need no sedation or anaesthetic.

What's the downtime?

Downtime is typically 1 to 2 weeks. Expect swelling and bruising over that period, compression garments for six weeks and a return to light activity within days. Contour continues to improve over several months. Sofwave® and Sculptra® are non-surgical and involve minimal downtime.

When will I see results?

Contour changes become visible once the initial swelling settles, with the final result emerging over the months that follow as skin tightening and collagen remodelling continue. Sculptra® works gradually across several months. Results are long-lasting where a stable weight is maintained.
