For some, a strong nose is perceived as a sign of strength of character; for others, it can be perceived as unsightly and become a source of embarrassment.
However, the nose is also the most central feature on the face – so ensuring a harmonious appearance is key.

SURGICAL
TECHNIQUES
Historically, the approach to a Rhinoplasty (a surgical procedure to reshape the nose) has been to reduce the size of the nose by removing bone and cartilage. However, when too much bone or cartilage is removed, it can impair the everyday function and breathing mechanisms of the nose, and may lead to longer-term complications, such as a risk of collapse. As a result, the trend over the last couple of decades has steered away from removing bone or cartilage, and more towards preserving the structure of the nose: often adding cartilage grafts to build up deficient areas of the nasal anatomy, to create a more balanced profile.
